Now that New York Fashion Week is over and done with, and we've already written our reviews and picked out our favorite collections, we have to wonder: what are we actually going to see in our favorite stores come September?

To find out, we asked the buyers from two New York stores that we love and shop at: Bird and Creatures of Comfort (both of which you can also shop online) what they have their eye on from the fall shows. We love their picks and so will you. Click through to see what Jen Mankins from Bird and Jade Lai from Creatures of Comfort will be stocking their stores with come fall.

Red and Pink: I love this happy bold color combination. Marcia Patmos showed a great daytime version for M.Patmos with a two-tone red chunky crew neck sweater and hot pink wool wrap miniskirt. Thakoon showed a glamourous girlie version with an ultra lux raspberry Mongolian lambs wool sweater paired with a color-blocked bright pink and cherry red wool and patent leather paper bag skirt.

Ohne Titel: Loving their optical printed structure knitwear.

White suits: Crisp jackets and cropped pants make this look super fresh for fall. I loved the lapel-less jackets layered over vests from both 3.1 Phillip Lim and Alexander Wang and for a sportier version look to Boy by Band of Outsiders who showed a gorgeous cream wool blazer with relaxed fit jogging inspired trousers.

Patrik Ervell nylon sleeve jacket- Patrik is finally making some decent jackets for his new women's collection that compliments his highly coveted men's line.

Floral prints: I never met a print I didn't like and I absolutely loved all the layers of gorgeous rose prints I saw last week on everything from silk crepe de chine to jacquard embroidered wool. Particularly pretty was the 60s inspired 3/4 sleeve slim dress from Rachel Comey and the mixed floral print button blazer from Suno layered over a floral tunic and wide leg trousers.

Suno- I am loving their black and white tree print this season.

Long duster coats: Floor grazing silhouettes for both men and women were everywhere for fall. Particularly strong were the classic tailored military inspired styles at Rag&Bone. The exaggerated khaki trench coat from Boy by Band of Outsiders was perfect for the urban prairie when thrown over a flowing degradé cream plaid skirt.

A Detacher- No one can pull off funky high-waisted knit pants like Mona. She designs pieces that just makes you look and look again.

Bright orange: Shots of clementine orange brightened up the sea of grey and black shown for fall. The "Breakfast at Tiffany's" coat from Rachel Comey was a knock-out and I loved the strong color and shape of the high-waisted crepe trousers shown at 3.1 Phillip Lim.

Rachel Comey- Hologram floral print dresses and her clear vinyl detailed shoes.

Metallics: Shiny shades from bronze to silver were everywhere this season. Rachel Comey showed a lux silver brocade pencil skirt and platinum jacquard sweaters. Rag&Bone opened their show with several beautiful bronze numbers that included a cool cropped pant and slim blazer for a whole metallic suit option.

VPL- Infuenced by Michael Clark contrast this season, they are once again focused on movement and the color change from each angle.

Shearling and fur: I will be wishing for an early winter next year with all the gorgeous fur and shearling in almost every collection. I particularly loved the grey lush long haired shearing styles at Zero + Maria Cornejo. Each piece is reversible too so you can have really different looks depending on your mood. And Scott Sternberg upped the glamour quotient by showing every variation of fox fur, faux fur and shearling over almost every look for both Boy and Girl by Band of Outsiders.

Correll Correll- The winner of this year's Eco Damoni award are known for their textiles. This season I am dying to get myself into their sleeker cut dresses.

Herringbone: Often oversized and textured this classic weave took a modern turn this season on several runways. I loved the menswear inspired overcoat at 3.1 Phillip Lim and the whole layered suit of anthracite mohair ombré herringbone at Rag&Bone.

Emmanuelle- This veteran from Thakoon has been coming out with some very clean and wearable pieces for the last 2 seasons. This time around, I particularly like this stretched out digital floral print dresses and Escheresque sweaters.

Boots: I am predicting a return of the knee boot! Alexander Wang showed a fantastic knee-skimming version in black and oxboood and patent leather. Ankle boots are still strong (especially with all the cropped pants I saw) I loved the mini wedge suede version from Zero+Maria Cornejo and Rachel Comey.

Creatures of Comfort: Everything! But I particularly like the high sheen Jean pants and the velvet polka dot tops and dresses.

Blanket stripes: More abstract expressionist than Pendleton, graphic stripes on worsted wool were shown on coats and capes. The slim grey and black belted version from Zero+Maria Cornejo struck a perfect balance between structure and fluidity. I also loved the blanket wool sleeveless styles at Rag&Bone.

LD Tuttle: This season they are influenced by middle eastern rugs, so there are rug prints and this really rich reds in the collection that I am just really attracted to.
