Elie Saab is synonymous with the red carpet. Ever since Halle Berry wore one of his gowns when she won her Oscar in 2002, his fate as a red carpet favorite was sealed. The Artist actress Berenice Bejo wore a long-sleeved Elie Saab creation to the Oscars just a few weeks ago, and Rosario Dawson was at the show yesterday. So it's always fun to look at Saab's finale dresses, because you know you'll see them on a celebrity ASAP.

For fall, the designer was feeling a bit moody, a bit dark--fitting since it was gloomy and pouring rain outside. Black cocktail dresses and evening gowns were inserted with sheer cobweb-y panels. A series of emerald gowns added a shock of color. Uber-sexy wrapped strapless jersey dresses with dangerously high slits up the middle got me worrying about a wardrobe malfunction or bad paparazzi photo for the celeb who might wear one. And of course, it's not an Elie Saab show without some sparkle: there were floor length show stoppers in shimmering gold and our favorite, a belted delicate embroidered grey number on Karlie Kloss.

Bets on who will wear what on the red carpet?
