Fashion News Roundup: Kim Kardashian Gets Flour Bombed, Dov Charney is Cleared of Sex Abuse Charges, and American Idol Has a Clothing Line

Kim Kardashian Gets a Little Messy: This is definitely not the kind of flower flour girls like receiving. After spending probably three hours in hair and makeup, poor Kimmy K was flour-bombed (think pie-d before the ingredients are mixed) by some disgruntled onlooker at her fragrance release event. Turns out that suspected culprit PETA was in fact not responsible for this half-baked (hehe) sabotage-- but a rep made sure to tell TMZ that they were pretty pleased just the same. {Styleite, TMZ} Dov Charney is An 'Innocent' Man: Could 2012 be the year of Dov Charney's comeback? After being on the constant brink of bankruptcy, American Apparel's founder and CEO can say adieu to another legal hurdle. A Brooklyn judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought on by a former employee last year claiming that Charney had used her as a "sex slave." {HuffPo} American Idol Becoming Fashion Forward: Following the announcement that Tommy Hilfiger will be the reality show's new "style advisor," it's been revealed that American Idol will be releasing its new 'Authentic Icon' clothing line at Kohl's in April - also home to AI judge Jennifer Lopez's own clothing range. It seems even Idol alum (and Smash star) Katherine McPhee is getting in on the fash game: She was reportedly seen sprinting to the Conde Nast building to "meet Miss Anna Wintour" on Wednesday-- though we're betting there was nary a mention of 'Kohl's' in that meeting. {NY Mag, NY Post}

Carine Roitfeld's Magazine Will Be Fashionable and Free (Sort Of): That Carine sure knows how to keep us wanting more. In the latest cryptic news regarding the former French Vogue EIC's new mag, we've learned that the bi-yearly publication will launch in September, be about fashion with a lot of freedom,” and will be sort of like a book. Except... not. Basically we can't wait. {WWD}

Mischa Barton Getting Into E-Commerce: Marissa CooperMischa Barton is back from the dead abyss! The former actress (too soon?), who has had a line of accessories since 2008, just announced her latest project-- a retail site called Mischa's Place. The site offers tees and jackets co-designed by Mischa and her mother Nuala, though we've no word yet on whether mischasplace.com will sell undergarments (which Mischa has famously forgotten to don in the past). {Telegraph}

Is Baptiste Giabiconi Moving to LA for Katy Perry? This might be too ridiculous to be real, but we're loving it nonetheless. French model, aspiring popstar, and Karl muse Baptiste Giabiconi is apparently sooo in love with the freshly detached Katy Perry that he's thinking moving to LA to be closer to her. And we're thinking, this 'relationship' (and hopefully musical collaborations to follow) would be, like, absolutely the best thing EVER. {NY Post}

J Brand Expanding into Retail: Hold onto your wallets, kids, because J Brand is about to open its first brick and mortar retail locations. CEO Jeff Rudes told WWD that flagships will open in NYC and London in the next 15 month and will feature "additions" to the celeb-beloved denim label, including handbags and footwear. {WWD}
