Fashionista Week in Review: The Kraziest Karl Lagerfeld Kwotes, Caviar Manicures and Cats Takeover the Spring Ad Campaigns

Did You Know We Love Cats?: We aren't messing around. Here at Fashionista really love cats. So we found 12 spring ad campaigns that, frankly, needed more cats and then we added said cats. You're welcome. Karl Lagerfeld is Krazy: The man is unquestionably a little bananas-sandwich, but we love him all the same. It's hard to separate the man from the myth, however, when he lays out his (bonkers) daily routine for Harper's Bazaar. Equally enjoyable: the kraziest Karl kwotes of all time. Fake Abercrombie & Fitch Sells Racist Pants: Before you can even ask yourself who would bother counterfeiting A&F, they slap you in the face with an "N-bomb." We can't be sure if this was some sort of bad translation program, but we can definitely be sure it's offensive. Blair Mercer is Back: Our "Diary of an Anon Fashion Assistant" feature seems to split you guys between utter disbelief and strong sympathy, but this week's is too good NOT to be true. Seriously people, can you make this stuff up? Top 10 Designers from Arise Fashion Week: Arise Fashion Week just took place in Lagos, Nigeria and our contributor picked 10 designers you'll want to keep an eye on. From the avant-garde to the historically inspired, we're really loving all of it.

Fake Abercrombie & Fitch Sells Racist Pants: Before you can even ask yourself who would bother counterfeiting A&F, they slap you in the face with an "N-bomb." We can't be sure if this was some sort of bad translation program, but we can definitely be sure it's offensive.

Top 10 Designers from Arise Fashion Week: Arise Fashion Week just took place in Lagos, Nigeria and our contributor picked 10 designers you'll want to keep an eye on. From the avant-garde to the historically inspired, we're really loving all of it.

Fashionista Turns Five: Former Fashionista Editor Lauren Sherman wraps up our series fêting our 5th anniversary, and we can't believe it's been only 8 months since she left. We love you Lauren!

Model Documentary Receives Unexpected Criticism: We've been talking about Girl Model quite a bit around here, and now there's backlash from a surprising source: the model herself. It's a pretty complicated story, so make sure to get up-to-date.

Paid to Pin: It may seem like a strange concept, but some of Pinterest's top pinners are now being paid - either in goods or cold hard cash - to pin for companies. While we're currently in the loop about these deals (at least, we think we are), sources say that in the future this could all be done out of the public eye. Definitely a little suspect.

We Train to Be the Next Cinna: Dressing Tributes can't be an easy task, but we're so into the Hunger Games that we took a crack at dressing some of our favorite characters in looks straight from the runway. Maybe we cheated a little bit putting Panem hotties Gale and Peeta in some more skin-bearing looks, but hey, you don't spend all that time training for nothing, am I right?

The Latest Nail Trend: It's a look that has made its rounds on the DIY circuit, on the runways, and now it's finally a thing: caviar nails look rich without costing a fortune. You just might want to be more careful when eating - we doubt it tastes as good as it looks.

Coach Redefines Their Legacy: Coach has made a quick turnaround from it's monogram obsessed past to a chic and timeless line in just a few years. To wit: we recently checked out their new Legacy line, and nary a logo in sight. They're classic, but they're also super fun.
