Finally, Andre Leon Talley Gets His Own Fashion Reality Show

If you loved Andre Leon Talley as a judge on America's Next Top Model but always secretly thought (like we did) that he should have how own show to better show off his shimmering capes and bon mots, you're in luck: ALT is getting his own show on Bravo. According to a release, the show will "follow four up-and-coming fashion design teams as they produce the defining collection of their careers, all under the watchful eye of fashion icon Andre Leon Talley. The mission to 'create, show and sell' is clear for emerging designers striving to build a business in New York City, which remains the heart of the fashion industry." The show only has a working title right now...

The mission to 'create, show and sell' is clear for emerging designers striving to build a business in New York City, which remains the heart of the fashion industry."

The show only has a working title right now, Fashion Stories of NYC. We'd like to suggest, Of Capes and Couture, or maybe All About Andre a show in which ALT would also host political debates in his "salon" with assorted fashion and art world people (seriously, how good would that be?).

In all seriousness, with the glut of fashion reality shows now clogging the airways, most of them as far from reality as you can get (ahem, Fashion Star), this one sounds promising. In the same vein as All On the Line (one of the realest of the fashion reality shows out there), Fashion Stories NYC sounds like it could actually portray the fashion industry in a realistic light: struggling design teams (presumably they're already established) and a mentor who really knows his shit.
