Jennifer Lopez Covers Vogue's Shape Issue

We've just barely gone through all our March glossies, and now April covers are dropping fast and furiously. The latest? Jennifer Lopez covers Vogue's "Shape" issue, shot by Mario Testino (according to the Fashion Spot). Vogue 's got a three month streak going of featuring pop singers--Taylor Swift in February, Adele in March, and now Jennifer Lopez. (Will it be Lana Del Rey in May? The internet may explode if that happens.)

Jennifer Lopez on the cover of Vogue's "Shape" issue, shot by Mario Testino (according to the Fashion Spot). (UPDATE: The Fashion Spot has a new thread going stating that the cover is by Mert and Marcus. Guess we'll have to wait and see what Vogue tells us officially.)

Anyway, J. Lo is looking gorgeous in a floaty red dress and matching red lips. This blog speculates that the dress is from Bottega Veneta's spring 2012 collection, and we'd say it's a good guess (see right). This is J. Lo's second time scoring a Vogue cover--the first was the January 2005 issue. Life has obviously thrown a lot her way since then (see: the cover headline which touts J.Lo dishing on her divorce), but from the looks of this cover, we'd say she's thriving. But is it odd that she's covering the shape issue, and they chose to use a rather tight shot instead of zooming out on her whole, very shapely, body? Sure, her arms are toned but so is the rest of her.

We can't wait to see her cover spread and get more details.
