Let's start the week off with some more fun Dior rumors, shall we? There may be a couple of new pieces to the puzzle.
In a recent interview with Vanessa Friedman at the Financial Times, Haider Ackermann cryptically told her "There are two houses I would be interested in...two where I feel there is shared sensibility, and I could bring something else of myself to the house, which isn't expressed in my own line." He also mentions "couture" specifically. Vogue UK thinks this might mean Dior.
Ackermann was an early contender for the position and his name was recently thrown back into the ring when flowers were awkwardly delivered to Dior, addressed to him. We also heard that Ackermann had been looking to hire a new fulltime assistant. Not for his eponymous label, but for something new. Last June, he said he turned down nine contract offers from various houses.
Speaking of couture, we hear from a source that Dior plans to name a new designer by the fall/winter 2012/2013 couture shows, which take place in Paris in July. Of course, we're sure there will be plenty of new rumors and names tossed around before then...
