Toddlers at Chanel: Three-Year Old Hudson Kroenig Walked the Runway With a Purse

Are Chanel sets runways or playgrounds? It’s becoming increasingly difficult to tell–not only because they’re now incorporating elements like seashells and sand–but also because they’re starting to draw a pretty young crowd.

It all began a year ago when the then-two-year-old son of model Brad Kroenig accompanied him down the runway for the Spring 2011 Chanel show. And it was the most adorable thing we’d ever seen. He then took the fashion world by storm, subsequently landing a Fendi campaign and a Coveteur feature, in which we learned that he loves getting his picture taken, dressing up in Chanel jackets, and sleeping with a Karl Lagerfeld doll that was given to him by the Kaiser himself.

Now a runway veteran, Kroenig walked in the Chanel show again this morning–this time holding the hand of a female model. And why yes, that is one of the new Chanel “Boy” handbags slung across his little Chanel jacket and we think the purple suede goes great with his navy trousers. Can’t handle.

Kroenig wasn’t the only toddler at the show today. We also spotted an adorable little girl in a pink fur coat playing with the amethyst spikes and sand, not that we can blame her. With this and front row regulars like Anne Slowey bringing their babies to fashion shows, we can’t help but wonder if this isn’t the beginning of a trend. In which case, why the hell isn’t there a Chanel baby line yet?
