Trendspotting: Brazen Brocade

Fashion month is over, and that means we're hunting for trends. Remember New York fashion week, way back when? Brocade was everywhere. It's a more refined answer to the very popular prints we've been seeing, and designers aren't holding back their enthusiasm for the fabric (and neither are we).

Rebecca Minkoff and Creatures of the Wind were a few amongst the many designers showing brocade separates like a strong biker jacket and an eccentric skirt, but what really caught our eye was the complex and colorful offerings by designers like Jason Wu, Rag & Bone and Proenza Schouler, the latter of which sent some of the most gorgeous brocade dresses down a runway this season, maybe ever. Excuse us while we wipe the drool from our mouths. Or maybe that's just the lack of sleep. Whatever the case, this trend brings us back to life.
