It's Earth Day! We decided to get a little bit conceptual today, rather than just offering you a list of organic beauty products to try. So click through for: one awesome Earth Day-friendly nail art project (using real leaves and flowers), two beauty companies that are giving back in a real way, a spring earth goddess hair style to try (including a tutorial), and finally, our favorite "green" beauty blog. Click through to discover some earthy inspiration, but for heaven's sake...save a tree and please don't print out this page.

Terrarium Nail Art: Instead of saving leaves and flowers in between the pages of a book, put them in between a few layers of lacquer on your nails. There's a tutorial on Clossette and it couldn't be easier. She recommends using mint or clover leaves, but we'd love to see tiny little flowers. Then try soy-based Scotch Naturals Non-Toxic Nail Polish remover, $11.99, to take it off.

Kiehl's Rare Earth Recycle and Be Rewarded Program:

Florence Welch, Spike Lee, Rosario Dawson, and Mark Ruffalo all designed artsy labels for Kiehl's amazing Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque [Ed. Note: This is not hyperbole. It is truly amazing. It's my Sunday evening ritual. It will make your skin feel dewy and pure, without that tight dry feeling that you get from some clay masks.] 100% of the profits from these limited edition products will go to Recycle Across America. Plus, Kiehl's just re-instituted its "Recycle and Be Rewarded" program. Bring in your old bottles for recycling and collect stamps for each bottle you bring in. Save up stamps and you'll get rewarded with some yummy Kiehl's products.

Valentino Spring 2012 Hair: Is there a more earth goddess-y look than this? Guido Palau created this for Valentino's spring 2012 runway, and Elle Fanning tried out the look the next day. Scarlett Johansson worked it again last week on the red carpet for an Avengers premiere. It's best worn a bit messy--after a roll in the organic, no-pesticides-used hay maybe? Run on over to the John Barrett Braid Bar, where for $45 the experts there will have you looking like a sexy milk maid in no time. Or check out this braid tutorial for a simpler version, courtesy of YouTube guru Lilith Moon:

Josie Maran's Model Citizens: Josie Maran, a former model who now has a successful natural skincare line based on argan oil, snagged two of her model friends, Angela Lindvall and Petra Nemcova, to design limited edition bottles of 100% pure argan oil. 10% of all proceeds go to a charity of each model's choice. Josie's is going towards Women for Women International, which helps women survivors of war. Petra's goes to the Happy Hearts Fund, which helps rebuild schools and assists children after natural disasters. Angela chose Healthy Child Healthy World which helps educate parents about harmful chemicals found in products and how communities can become healthier.
