Remember that famous dress by fictional (but oh-so-exclusive) designer Fritz Bernaise in Bridesmaids? The one that launched a shitty (pun-intended) showdown between Kristen Wiig and Rose Bryne? Of course you do--how could you forget?

So, imagine our surprise when a tipster sent over a near identical variation of that dress from J. Mendel's 2009 resort collection. Yes, the J. Mendel frock is in a different color palette and is shorter than the Fritz Bernaise--but the artful origami-esque folding and sheer detailing unmistakably recall the one in the film.

In another strange twist, we noticed that Wiig's actual "Fritz Bernaise" dress was up for auction on a site called icollector, and sold for $2,250--quite a bargain considering a typical J. Mendel dress might set you back a hefty $4,000.

So now the question is: Which do you prefer?
