We are seeking a Design Director for our client; an emerging International Online Retailer based in Los Angeles. This brand has exploded in popularity and name recognition over the last several years, and they are now launching a private label line.

The Design Director will lead concept, run the design team and make critical decisions about the growth and development of this brand.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design
• 8-10 years of experience in women’s apparel design; experience with speed-to-market is a plus
• Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, silhouettes, sewing techniques, fabrication and trim; must be familiar with print design and manufacturing
• Knowledge of runway and online design trends
• Ability to spearhead research for new, creative colors and materials
• Ability to lead a design team through concept and development, approve specifications and line sheets and supervise the creation of Illustrator sketches
• Team-oriented and ready to partner with merchandising and design departments
