Today, Nike unveiled 32 new team uniforms for the 2012 NFL season. We were quite impressed with the Seattle Seahawks’ fashion-forward jerseys: navy and white with touches of neon green–so on trend! Love that color combo. So BCBG pre-fall.

Plus, having unintentionally taken in a little March Madness, we noticed that elite eight teams Baylor and Louisville teams were rocking some snazzy neon uniforms, too (questionable camo-print shorts aside).

So what does this have to do with fashion? Neons are hot for spring, and it’s nice to see that sports teams are picking up on the trend. Are uniform designers watching the runways? We’re starting to think so! Here are six team uniforms that may have been inspired by some of spring’s hottest looks (but probably weren’t). And just in case you were feeling sporty, we rate the playability of each runway look.
