Melanie Chisholm aka Sporty Spice

Though clearly the black sheep in the Spice World, Melanie C never let her “Sporty” (pronounced “Chav”) look stand in the way of good style. Well, on second thought… maybe she did. Are those Skechers? Still, her updated look is actually pretty wearable. Unbeknownst to us at the time, young Mel was actually a fashion genius – that sheer top/black bra combo (sadly sans lunar graphic) has become a style mainstay almost 15 years later. Black hidden-wedge sneaks look a bit more polished than clunky tennis shoes, and who knew that the world’s most conservative retailer would be hawking shiny Spice pants?
