The date has been set for fashion's biggest party. And no, we're not talking about the Met Ball--happily, this event is one everyone can attend.

Fashion's Night Out will be held on September 6, 2012, in the US, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Mexico, Australia and Korea, Vogue UK is reporting. China, India, Germany and Russia will celebrate the event on September 7; Taiwan and Japan on September 8; Brazil on September 10 and 12; Portugal, Italy, Turkey, The Netherlands and Mexico on September 13; Italy on September 18; and Greece on September 20 and 25.

In other words, the fourth annual FNO is going to be one seriously global party, with over 20 countries participating--and in many cases multiple cities per country. In Italy, for instance, festivities will take place in Milan, Rome, and Florence; in Germany, Berlin and Düsseldorf will participate; and in Russia, Moscow and St Petersburg. Mexico will host events in Mexico City and Guadalajara; Brazil in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro; and in Greece in both Athens and Thessaloniki.

"We are delighted to be supporting the fashion and retail sectors again while highlighting the important role fashion plays in the economy of a country,” British Vogue's Alexandra Shulman said.

As for the US, the American FNO site promises this year will "be even bigger and better." The site also has a helpful countdown clock (119 days to go!) and is already selling the 2012 FNO T-shirts. So if you're really that excited...
