J. Crew president/style queen Jenna Lyons is a smart lady and we pretty much worship her, so why shouldn’t everything she says be news? The other night, she told the Post her thoughts on two of the hottest topics in fashion right now: The revival of the Schiparelli brand and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld’s new baby.

As for the former, Lyons thinks nonagenarian fashion icon Iris Apfel, who has recently launched a design career, should do the honors. “She’s so full of life, and she’s got an incredible attitude,”Lyons told the NYP. “I don’t think she’d want to, but I think she would be amazing.” An odd choice, and probably not a serious one, but we like where her head is at. Maybe Apfel could do a J. Crew collaboration in the near future?

Her suggestion for what Julia Restoin-Roitfeld should name her first baby is equally unlikely to come to fruition (she already has a name), unless of course she has another one. “Grey for a boy or a girl. I really love the name.” Hmm, as in 50 Shades of…?
