It looks like the Cannes International Film Festival might soon be known as the Kannes International Film Festival. As reported by Pitchfork, Kanye West (the newly minted Mr. Kim Kardashian– by us, right now) is set to premiere a “short art film” in the south of France next Wednesday, May 23. Entitled “Cruel Summer,” Kanye’s newest non-musical venture is apparently an “immersive seven-screen experience, unlike anything West has attempted before.”

Who knows what this latest foray into the world of multimedia art could mean for Kanye West’s Parisian design aspirations (which have been universally panned by everyone who matters), but we know one thing: Kim Kardashian is koming to Kannes! Kim is klearly Kanye’s biggest fan, wearing his designs and lately, following him pretty much everywhere (except the Met Ball, of course). E! is reporting that she’ll arrive in France on May 22. Plenty of time to get her fake lashes done before the premiere the next day.

We’re pretty sure Cannes could theoretically explode if Kim Kardashian shows up, and we’re rubbing our palms together to express the sinister feeling of delight we’re experiencing. What will she wear? Will it fit into grayscale? Will there be a “Kim and Kanye Take Kannes special” on E!? Will she be snubbed on the red carpet by Diane Kruger? Stay tuned.
