Could this be the next Elle Fanning/Hailee Steinfeld? We're thinking yes. Don't worry--we still love Elle (she better start making some more red carpet appearances once school's out!). But 13-year-old Kara Hayward, who just this year filmed her first movie, went to Cannes for the first time and wore a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton look designed custom for her by Marc Jacobs, is definitely one to watch.

Hayward stars in Wes Anderson's latest film, Moonrise Kingdom, which opened Cannes and hits theaters this weekend. We can't wait to see it and already fan-girl'd out when we incidentally met the film's costume designer--because the costumes, especially those worn by Hayward's character Suzy--are stylized '60s perfection. In reviews of the film, Suzy is described as a disaffected bookworm, so we're going to go ahead and declare her the next Margot Tenenbaum. (Whether or not Moonrise will be popular enough to make pink mini dresses, knee-highs and saddle shoes the next go-to Halloween costume for angsty college girls remains to be seen.)

Practically mirroring Fanning's fashionable lead-up to the Venice Film Festival debut of Sofia Copolla's Somewhere (to which Fanning wore Marc Jacobs!), Hayward has already snagged a few fashion spreads. She's in the May issues of Interview and Harper's Bazaar and even contributed an adorable Cannes diary for Vogue.com, in which we see her getting fake eyelashes put on, fawning over her custom Vuitton and doing red carpet interviews for the first time.

Critics are saying Hayward's and her 12-year-old costar Jared Gilman's performances outshone those of the adult cast members (which include Tilda Swinton, Ed Norton, Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, to name a few). And she tells Vogue, precociously, "I have to choose my next project, whatever it is, very carefully." On the fashion front, we predict more editorials, a front row seat at Chanel, a Teen Vogue cover and maybe even a Marc by Marc campaign (all pure speculation). Click through for all of her red carpet looks and fashion spreads so far, plus a few stills from Moonrise Kingdom, to see what we mean.
