Stylists in magazine advice columns are always telling you to make sure you have a good tailor. And darn it, Kate listened! Here she is way back in 2006 in the original coat attending the Cheltenhem races (also: nice furry hat). She held on to that coat and got it shortened/modernized, and it came out of the closet again in February 2011 when she wore it to a ship christening. Bonus: Now you know how to dress if anyone ever invites you to a ship christening.
