What went down:
• Obama opened with a SATC joke–he was at Carrie Bradshaw’s house after all. Joking about his fundraising schedule he said he would put it in “Sex and the City Terms”–that tonight was his “date night” with First Lady Michelle Obama, the Daily News is reporting.
• Sarah Jessica Parker greeted the Prez with a “hug and a kiss” and called the First Lady “radiant and extraordinary.”
• When Obama noted that GM was back on top, Parker’s son James Wilkie started clapping. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Obama reportedly replied, “He wanted to fire up the crowd,” and Andy Cohen added, “He knows an applause line. Right on cue!”
• According to NBC, Anna Wintour moderated a private Q and A session between the President and the guests
