It's Famous Fragrance Face Friday! This morning we got a peek at Kristen Stewart in her Balenciaga Florabotanica campaign, and now a pic of Blake Lively for Gucci Premiere has hit the internet.
We just found out last week that Lively, who had been a Karl Lagerfeld/Chanel muse for several seasons, would front the campaign for Gucci's new fragrance, a scent the house described as full of "Old Hollywood charm." Lively is every inch the glamorous movie star here. Bombshell waves? Check. Sparkly dramatic gown? Check. She looks lovely and rich and very Gucci.
One thing we couldn't help noticing, though, is that this Mert and Marcus-lensed campaign looks kind of similar to the one Karl Lagerfeld shot of Lively for the Chanel Mademoiselle handbag ads. Behold:
We're sure it costs a pretty penny these days to have Blake Lively front a campaign, so maybe everyone's just trying to get their money's worth by showing two images of her lovely mug. Also she obviously doesn't have any bad angles, so maybe they just couldn't decide which shot was best so went for the reflection.
Anyway. According to the print on this image, a special short film for the campaign, shot by Nicolas Winding Refn will be screened at the Venice Film Festival in September.
What do you think of Blake for Gucci?
