Model/stylist/jewelry designer/actress Erin Wasson is set to make her big screen debut in this Friday's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Wasson plays Vedoma, a character that seems to figure prominently as Wasson features in many of the promotional images for the film.

Ridiculous as the title sounds, the movie has a lot of buzz and is based on the popular book of the same name by Seth Grahame-Smith. Grahame-Smith is the man behind that other horror pop culture historical mash up Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and wrote the screen play for Abraham Lincoln. "[W]e wanted to make a bloody, badass action movie that just happened to take place in the 1800s,” Grahame-Smith told the New York Daily News.

Wasson's IMDB credits are slim--she was a "party girl" in Sofia Coppola's 2010 Somewhere and was on some show called Beautiful People in 2006, which just seems like obvious casting. But Wasson has upped her on screen appearances in recent years, serving as a guest on fashion reality shows like Project Runway and Top Model. Could this be the start of a successful model/actress transition for Wasson?
