He’s a front row staple at fashion week, counts Anna Wintour as a friend, and has even collaborated on a collection with Rachel Roy, so really it was only a matter of time before Knicks player Amar’e Stoudemire got into the fashion business full-time.

At yesterday’s Calvin Klein event in Milan, Stoudemire told WWD that he was working on a men’s fashion line. The Knicks player declined to give further details on the new project but implied that he was working with a partner on it. For Stoudemire’s sake, we hope the unnamed partner is a designer with a little more fashion experience–and perhaps a killer PR team to squash the ballplayer’s recent (and rather untimely) homophobic Twitter gaffe.

“Stay tuned,” Stoudemire promised WWD. Indeed we will.
