Yesterday's LGBT Pride parade in New York City was more like an all-day block party that engulfed the entire West Village. The event marked the first anniversary of the legalization of same-sex marriage in New York, and the celebratory vibe from the thousands of people crowding the streets was unmistakable. Forget what you've heard about grumpy New Yorkers--I don't think there was a rude word exchanged all afternoon. Seriously, an NYPD taught me the proper way to blow my new bubble pen. Or at least attempted to.

And as usual, the outrageous fashion that Pride Day has become known for did not disappoint. With topless ladies, tiny pasties, sky high glitter platforms, intricate feather headdresses, and more banana hammocks than you could count, it was street style at its absolute most fabulous; self expression at its most fearless. We braved the crowds and vendors passing out free condoms and bubble pens (can't forget the bubble pens) and combed through all the rainbow flag capes to bring you the very best of Pride street style. Most of these looks may not fly for everyday, but at Pride, anything goes--and we love it for that.
