Sixteen years later, Chloe Sevigny still has it. She follows actress Mia Wasikowska as the new face of Miu Miu’s fall 2012 ad campaign, shot by Mert & Marcus. Sevigny, who wore Miu Miu to the Met Ball this year, was rumored to be the label’s new face last month in a seemingly random Fashion Spot post and we’re glad to see it’s true.
As you may recall, this isn’t Sevigny’s first time fronting Miu Miu. Juergen Teller shot her for the brand in one of her first major modeling gigs back in 1996. Here, she’s sporting a similar haircut but a much more maximalist Miu Miu aesthetic.
We think it’s a great choice–even if it’s Sevigny’s second time fronting the brand, the now-37 year old still represents Miu Miu’s willingness to show a variety of looks and ages in its ad campaigns.
Which do you prefer? Chloe Sevigny for Miu Miu in 2012 or 1996 (at right)? [Ed. note: Does Chloe Sevigny have a secret magical anti-aging elixer? Because I'll have what she's having.]
