Most brands would be pretty lucky to get a ridiculously good looking, motorcycle-riding Scotsman to front their campaigns. But English clothing label Belstaff got even luckier--the embodiment of the aforementioned qualities, Ewan McGregor, actually contacted it first.

The story of how the Belstaff fall ad campaign came to be is a lot like our fantasy of Mr. McGregor miraculously realizing that we're what's been missing from his life all these years (but minus the part where we're actually involved in any way). No stranger on the campaign front (he beautifully starred in ads for Davidoff in 2008), Ewan actually pursued the recently relaunched Brit brand himself! CEO Harry Slatkin, who sounds like the ultimate cool cat, recounts the process:

"Ewan McGregor contacted me just after we bought Belstaff with an email titled "Born To Ride". With his love of the brand and his inherent rugged good looks he was a natural to be our lead male for the campaign."

A take-charge kinda guy with rugged good looks? We'd have to agree on all accounts. And 'Born to Ride?' Genius. Someone get that man an office on Madison Avenue STAT. Better yet, get him an office right next to ours. Ta!
