Despite reports of Kate Middleton‘s astronomical wardrobe budget (Forbes put it at $54,000 for the first half of 2012) the Duchess is back to her thrifty ways, sporting a $55 dress from UK high street label Hobbs at an official visit to Bacon’s College in Rotherhithe, The Daily Mail is reporting.
Middleton paired her pretty frock with a pair of summery wedge espadrilles and minimal accessories. All-in-all a very ‘Kate’ look and, not surprisingly the ‘Wessex’ dress she’s wearing has already sold out.
The Olympics opening ceremony is tomorrow, and to kick off what is sure to be a string of perfectly-poised sartorial appearances, Middleton, Harry and Prince William got to try out a variety of different sports at Bacon’s College, including table tennis, soccer and judo. Kate’s already shown us her ability to play sports and wear cute clothes (see: her playing field hockey while wearing orange skinny jeans.) It definitely got us in the sporty spirit–and made us even more excited to see what K.Midd will wear during the Olympics.
Oh, and, just for fun, here’s the Duchess learning to karate chop. Who knew being a princess would be so sweaty!
