The Primetime Emmy award nominations were announced this morning and we were genuinely excited that our fave shows got some love. (Yay, Cat Deeley! Yay, Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey!) But we won't waste time going over all the big acting categories and get right to what really matters: Best costumes.

This year the nominations for "Outstanding Costumes for a Series" are...

Boardwalk EmpireThe Borgias Downton AbbeyGame of Thrones (Here's our interview with costume designer Michele Clapton!) • Once Upon a Time

But wait a second. Where's Mad Men? Mad Men's costume designer Janie Bryant has been nominated every year (2008-2011) since the show's inception. The show has never won an Emmy for costumes, interestingly, but we thought for sure this year (That "Zou Bisou" dress that Megan wore in episode one? Hello!) they had a chance. But no, the costumes were snubbed.

Are you shocked/saddened/disappointed that Mad Men is getting no Emmy costume love this year? Let us know your thoughts about the nominees!
