I think I speak for everyone when I say that the past day and a half has been pretty rough on us all. How are we expected to focus on daily activities–working, eating, bathing, breathing–when the most horrific celebrity breakup of the last decade (at least, sorry TomKat) is unfolding before our very computer monitors? Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, our hearts will never be the same!

Of course, there was another shady character in the picture: Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, a married man with two kids. Clearly, Mr. Sanders used his super special movie effects to sneakily woo K-Stew, leaving her beloved Rob left with nothing but unfulfilled promises of eternal love and an apartment full of Twilight memorabilia. Rupert’s jilted wife Liberty Ross took to her Instagram account to not-so-cryptically signal her disapproval, but we dealt with our grief in another way.

We decided to illustrate our seven-stage method of dealing with the horrifying news of the cheating scandal many have dubbed ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart ’12′ using the images of Kristen Stewart that best represented our grief. Each one was more painful yet liberating than the last. Please feel free to share your own method of dealing with this universal loss–that way, next time, we can all get through it together.
