Before you head out to celebrate the Fourth and salute the big red, white, and blue, make sure your tips are duly decorated and up to the task; this manicure is fun, festive, and above all, incredibly simple. Step 1: First Base After applying your base coat, polish two coats of red on your thumb and pinky finger. On your middle and ring finger, apply two coats of blue. Allow two minutes drying time between each coat.

Step 2: Stripe It Out On your forefinger, go for the glitz and paint it glittery gold. To resemble the American flag, paint vertical, thin white stripes down your thumb, middle, and pinky fingers using a nail pen. Using a thin striping brush, trace along the outline of the white stripes with your gold glitter nail polish. Allow two minutes drying time between each coat.

Step 3: Shoot For The Stars On your thumb, middle, and pinky fingers, affix a gold star smack dab in the middle of your nail, close to the cuticle. On your ring finger, stick several white stars all over your nail. Set your sassy star-spangled look with a high shine topcoat.
