Uncle Terry took to both sides of the camera for women’s jewelry brand David Webb’s fall 2012 ad campaign. And by the looks of the print campaign and accompanying behind-the-scenes video, he didn’t mind pulling double duty one bit. He and Enikő Mihalik get pretty cozy.
In the campaign, which was styled by Lori Goldstein, the controversial photographer and model look like a happy high society couple that hasn’t lost the spark in their marriage. They appear quite taken with each other, as Richardson gives a lot of thumbs up.
In addition to seeing the flannel-obsessed photog in a tux, the strangest part of this is seeing what he looks like after a little retouching. As you can tell by comparing the photos to the video, there was significant tanning, hair filling-in and dental alterations done for the campaign. Not that that’s anything out of the ordinary, but for some reason it’s weird when it’s a photographer and not a model.
“Featuring Terry Richardson in our 2012 ad campaign felt like a natural evolution,” noted Sima Ghadamian, co-owner of David Webb. “We are excited to include Terry as his vision embodies the bold, modern aesthetic of David Webb.” Richardson shot last season’s campaign as well and, in it, Mihalik cuddled up to a doll version of the bespectacled photographer. We guess she wanted the real thing this time.
Everyone kept their clothes on here, but of course for every professional shoot Richardson does, there’s sure to be some less professional-looking photos of the model on Terry’s Diary. Indeed, Mihalik appeared topless on the photog’s blog just last month.
See below for the video and another image from the campaign, in which he sucks on her bejeweled finger. Does that make you want to buy some jewelry?
