Who What Wear is seeking a full-time Shopping Editor / Merchandiser. As Who What Wear continues to innovate in the merging of commerce and content, the Shopping Editor / Merchandiser will play a pivotal role in shaping the editorial strategy and revenue performance of our new shopping section that will be launching later this year. This person will take a hands-on approach in curating products, managing e-commerce editorial content and strategy, promotional campaigns, and optimizing product assortments based on data analytics and insights. This position works closely with both our editorial and business development teams.
Responsibilities: • Curate products and create content for WWW's shopping section • Produce monthly editorial calendar for promotion of shopping section and daily hot-products • Establish and maintain relationships with brand partners to assemble special assortments • Conceptualize and create special promotions • Work with the art department to create and execute site-wide campaigns for shopping section • Work with Social Media Manager to facilitate consistent promotion of shopping section across all social media platforms • Work closely with Product Management and Technology team to optimize functionality of our shopping section • Keep editorial team informed of new product launches and brand promotions via email updates and in-person briefs • Adjust site presentation based on inventory, promotion and sales trends • Perform in-depth analysis of style and selling reports and analyze data to incorporate business trends into merchandise choices • Ensure website taxonomy is optimized for seasonality and shoppability
Requirements: • 2 + years of e-commerce, merchandise buying experience at a fashion brand • Editorial experience at a print or digital magazine is preferred • Copywriting experience is preferred • The ideal candidate will have strong communications skills and experience with e-commerce platforms to communicate with product managers, editors, and partners • Must exhibit a strong taste level and the ability to intelligently edit an assortment of product from both an editorial and business prospective • Ability to understand product trends and have the ability to creatively translate them into the online store, based on quality of product and financial performance • Exceptional quantitative analytical skills, the ability to derive actionable insights from data and creatively executing on them • Basic HTML and photoshop skills are preferred
COMPENSATION This is a full-time salaried position located in Los Angeles. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
