I’ve never seen this movie (it came out two years before I was born if that works as an excuse), but while watching a clip to get screenshots, Ryder’s character said, “Not everyone has to be glamorous to have someone fall in love with them you know.” And we bet lots of audiences fell in love with Ryder and her tomboyish style in this first movie role.
