You'd think that the demands of fashion month, which kicks off with New York this Thursday, would take a toll on top tier Obama bundler Anna Wintour's fundraising efforts--that even as campaign season kicks into high gear, Wintour would be forced to cut back on organizing $40,000 a head dinners.
Not so! The Vogue editor is simply taking her fundraising show on the road with her over fashion month. According to Politico, Wintour will host two more fundraisers for President Barack Obama's reelection campaign (she's hosted two already), one in London during London Fashion Week and the next in Paris over Paris Fashion Week. And she's wrangled some big fashion names to help out.
In London on September 19, she'll host a $15,000 a head dinner at Mark's Club with Tom Ford and David Plouffe.
The Paris event is more explicitly linked to Paris Fashion Week. It's listed as a "Paris Fashion Week Reception with Anna Wintour" and is set to take place on October 1 at the old Kenzo house (La Maison 8). Reception tickets are priced at $2,500 while a seat at the dinner table will set you back $10,000.
Whether Marc Jacobs likes it or not, it looks like fashion and politics are mixing this season.
