Barneys Fetes Rag & Bone's New Purse With a Little Help From Linda Evangelista and Julianne Moore

Unless you were under any illusions otherwise (we doubt you were): Barneys really, really knows how to throw a good party. So you can imagine our excitement when the department store invited us to dinner and drinks at the NoMad Hotel's rooftop to celebrate Rag & Bone's latest bag this past Monday--a much-needed respite from NYFW's crazy schedule.

Industry insiders and Hollywood A-listers like Rachel Zoe, Julianne Moore and Linda Evangelista were on-hand to celebrate Rag & Bone's newest purse, called the Pilot, which is sure to be a sell-out. But Evangelista wasn't just there to partake in the free booze and free food--it turns out she has a much closer connection to the Rag & Bone boys.

"[Linda] is a dear friend of ours, and we’re actually next-door neighbors, which is actually kind of funny," Rag & Bone co-designer David Neville said. "Linda was saying this is the second time I’ve ever seen her with makeup on, which is clearly not true."

And, for that matter, Rag & Bone and Barneys have a closer relationship than your average designer-buyer.

"Barneys was there for us when pretty much no one else was," Neville said. "We were delivering clothes two, sometimes three months late--some of the buyers here can attest to that! But they stuck with us." Awww
