“We tried to define the Carven wardrobe through a few emblematic volumes,” he added. “It’s always about that mix between two extremes--both seductive and demure.”

To that end, the two pieces we've seen so far--a simple collared dickie and a form-fitting cotton dress with crisp white collar--are pure Carven. And they're totally sexy, despite being rather buttoned up.

The only bummer about this collaboration is that while it will debut on Nov. 5 at Colette in Paris and 10 Corso Como in Milan, and then make it's way to as-yet-unnamed boutiques in London and Brussels, it likely won't hit stores this side of the pond until December 5, when it becomes available in 240 Petit Bateau points of sale worldwide. Still, we have a feeling it'll be worth the wait.
