Converse Inc. seeks bright, motivated individuals for a temporary PR Coordinator position within its PR/Communications department. This candidate will be encouraged to participate in all aspects of PR programming and be given substantive roles in activities that may include: media monitoring, sample coordination, product pitches, and press events surrounding Converse footwear, apparel, accessories and corporate activities. Position is located in New York City.
We are looking for individuals that can work 40 hours a week, preferably Monday – Friday. Only candidates with appropriate experience will be contacted.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Coordinate and traffic all product sample collections for all editorial requests • Manage day-to-day sample closet organization • Coordinate pitches for key product categories for inclusion in editorial stories and pages • Liaise with internal and international teams with shoot & sample needs • Coordinate seasonal press days • Distribute assets for editorial requests & interviews (press releases, high res images, etc) • Monitor all press coverage (print, digital, TV) • Share press coverage with internal teams • Compile and update press reports • Coordinate editor gifting • Liaise with external PR agencies • Assist with special events • General administrative duties
QUALIFICATIONS: • BA/BS degree • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Photoshop, Adobe • 1-2 years of prior communications, PR or editorial experience is required
