Maiyet may be a new kind of fashion brand, but that doesn’t mean they can’t use a classic, iconic model. For the socially conscious label’s latest campaign, Daria Werbowy, who also starred in their spring 2012 campaign, models the chic, architectural fall 2012 collection beautifully and we have some exclusive images right here.
If you didn’t know, Maiyet produces much of its product through partnerships with artisans in downtrodden communities in countries like Kenya, India, Colombia and Indonesia, among others. The fall campaign was shot by Cass Bird in one of those countries–Chyulu Hills, Kenya–and we’re kind of in love with the natural, easy look.
Maiyet’s sophisticated, modern aesthetic is not limited to clothes–their chic handbags are crafted in Italy. See below for a cool exclusive video that shows you how each bag is made.
By the way, the handbags, as well as the rest of the collection are hitting Barneys stores, exclusively, now. And in exciting news: they’ll be available online in a few weeks when the brand launches e-commerce.
