The Clothes: Pure fashion fantasy, it was easily the most fun show I've been to all week--and the clothes were total editorial eye candy. Laser cut-out leather dresses, fairy tale ball gowns embellished with a Pegasus motif, a feather bustier, and huge hats and headpieces (by Stephen Jones) all walked the precariously narrow runway. Mixed in with the show-stoppers were pieces printed with a shattered glass motif, some oversized stripes, and a few trouser suits. Models Doutzen Kroes, Saskia de Brauw, and Cara Delevingne all walked, giving you an idea of Giles's aesthetic--namely, he's hard to pigeonhole.
Hair & Makeup: Hair was in messy beach waves. Lips were a bright fuchsia (we approve) and some of the girls had bleached brows on very pale faces.
The Vibe: Giles Deacon, as a long-time standard bearer for Brit fashion, threw a proper theatrical fashion show in Stationers' Hall near St.Paul's Cathedral. It was all very old and historic and British.
The Front Row: Crowded with editors, It-girls, and socialites.
Celeb We'd Like to See Wearing It: Gwen Stefani
WTF Moment: I was holding my breath the entire time hoping that no one--especially me--accidentally tripped a model or dropped a phone onto the runway. It was just so, so narrow.
