Hot on the heels of the exciting news about H&M's new "luxury" brand & Other Stories launching, comes the crappy news that H&M e-commerce in the US is going to be delayed.

H&M originally announced that we could expect US e-commerce this fall, but now Bloomberg Businessweek (via Racked) is reporting that it will be delayed until mid-2013: "The company said it simply needs more time to prepare that offering."

You'll recall that the Maison Martin Margiela collab, for which there is sure to be a high demand, launches on November 15. In light of all the issues H&M has had with other countries' ecommerce sites crashing (see: Versace for H&M) we aren't surprised that they're taking every precaution possible to make sure the site will be functional and can handle the traffic.

It's still a bummer, though.
