We were bad reporters yesterday. Blaming “fashion week fatigue” as if it were a real illness seems lame (even though we were very very tired) so we’re owning up: Yesterday at Ralph Lauren we just plain missed it when Ryan Lochte greeted Anna Wintour by placing his hand on. her. bare. knee. His manager Erika Wright tweeted a photo of it, and if Anna felt Lochte had crossed the line she didn’t show it–she was all smiles.

Lochte really should have read our illustrated guide to greeting people during fashion week before going in for the knee graze. But you gotta admire his boldness.
