The Clothes: In addition to being ridiculously adorable, clothes were crisp, classic, filled with interesting details, and vibrant, not unlike Oscar’s grown up collection. For girls, the look was very feminine–all dresses. Bright, painterly floral and ikat prints, floral embroidery, or elegant beading covered the mostly a-line frocks. One intricate red and white dress had eyelet cut outs on the bodice and macaramé all over the skirt. For the 6-year-old who cares about details. The dress I genuinely really, really want for myself was a white short-sleeved number with a navy blue striped trim, a peter pan collar and bow in the back.
For boys, the look was very dapper and dandy-ish. Blazers, pinstripe button downs in pastels, shorts and cuffed pants.
The Hair & Makeup: WASP-chic. Girls’ hair was parted on the side (def a trend this season), half up and loosely curled with lots of hairspray. Boys’ hair was slick and parted on the side as well.
The Soundtrack: Karen O’s “All is Love,” Peter Bjorn & John’s “Young Folks.”
The Vibe: Mostly women obsessing over how everything was the cutest thing they’d ever seen. A few editors brought their kids. The show itself was super cheerful. Models actually smiled (so rare!) and there were even wagons and skateboards (covered in ODLR prints of course)
Celebrity We’d Most Like to See Wearing this Collection: Harper Beckham, Suri Cruise
WTF Moment: It started on time and thus we lost our front row seat. Since when are kids punctual?
