When I spied a very fresh-faced and impeccably outfitted Peter Brant II arrive perfectly late to the Rebecca Minkoff show, all I could think about was his late night Boom Boom Room Instagram series from the night before. (Stalking is so easy these days). He has youth on his side, but I couldn’t help but wonder how this jet setting “rich kid of Instagram” (and our favorite “human bra“) does it. I just had to find out his fashion week secrets.
Fashionista: Hi there, how are you?
Peter Brant II: Well, hello! I’m great.
You were out late last night, but look so fresh…
Yes, I was out late! There are these aspirins that are fizzy that they sell in Europe, and you could get two hours of sleep and take those the next morning and you’re fantastic. And, of course, a little sashimi and a Bloody Mary in the morning gets you through the day.
What are you looking forward to this week?
I’m excited for Alex Wang, Calvin Klein, Nicole Miller, Ralph Lauren.
Can you reveal any fashion week secrets?
It’s all about timing. I try to end up at a show 10 minutes late, but I arrive 15 minutes early and wait around in the car just in case. I like to leave a window. There should always be an hour and a half between shows. The show starts half an hour late and lasts a half an hour and then you take 15 minutes to leave. You need two hours if the show is not at Lincoln Center.
Where will you be eating and partying this week?
Number 8, my favorite spot in the city right now. It’s great cause the portions are bite-sized and perfect for fashion week dieting.
So many helpful tips and amazingness in such a brief conversation. Thanks, Peter.
