The Clothes: No one does easy nighttime glamour quite like Rachel Zoe. So it’s no surprise that my favorite looks wouldn’t look out of place on the red carpet–or on Zoe, herself, for that matter. Eveningwear is definitely Zoe’s strong suit, and my favorite looks were a sequined off-the-shoulder top paired with a long sequin skirt, a silky long shirt dress (also off the shoulder), and a white unstructured double breasted suit, which, when paired with a black fedora, was very Bianca Jagger at Studio 54. The palette started out monochromatic before working its way to first pale blues, then turquoise, then tawny oranges, pale greys, golds, leopard and finally back to monochrome.
The Hair & Makeup: Hair was straight with a loose wave in the front–the kind that Zoe herself wears–and makeup was minimal with a berry mouth.

The Soundtrack: “Not for Me,” Bobby Darin.
The Vibe: Lots of Cali types and Zoe-ites.
The Front Row: Olivia Palermo, hubby Roger, and baby Skylar! Wearing a fedora!
Celebrity We’d Most Like to See Wearing It: Kate Hudson, Lou Doillon
