The Clothes: The show got off on the right (read: comfortable) foot, as every model stepped down the catwalk in a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors, which played right into this season’s theme of juxtaposition. Traditionally masculine utilitarian looks like overalls, boy blazers, and oxford shirts became incredibly feminine when paired with corsets, bow blouses, and peplum jackets. Pretty pastels were pitted against stark black, and glittery brocade and sumptuous silk mingled with classic cotton and retro seersucker.
The Hair & Makeup: Hair was business in the back, party in the front. Pompadours were fashioned in the front with simple stick-straight strands in the back. Silvery highlighter was dabbed just above the cheeks and worn with a matte lip--a few tomato red, but most fleshy pink.
The Vibe: Upbeat and booming with bass; a wonderful way to kick off a rainy Saturday morning.
The Front Row: Lorenzo Martone, Nadejda Savcova
Celebrity We’d Most Like to See Wearing This Collection: Kate Bosworth, Taylor Swift.
