It's been a little while since we've heard anything about the highly-anticipated revival of Schiaparelli.
When plans for the revival were announced back in May, word was a creative director would be announced in September. Now that September's just about over, the buzz is building again and it sounds like a designer has finally been chosen.
WWD caught up with model and fashion icon Ines de la Fressange, who it turns out, has had a role at Schiaparelli for years as a consultant. De la Fressange, who is also a brand ambassador for Roger Vivier, has been working with Diego Della Valle (an Italian businessman who's spearheading the revival) for the past three years, reports the trade.
She also revealed that several people had been interviewed and Della Valle plans to announce his choice "soon." Which sounds like it means there is a choice to announce, so that's something!
De la Fressange isn't the only model/muse involved with the French fashion house--Farida Khelfa was announced as the brand's spokesperson back in May.
