The Clothes: Costello Tagliapietra’s two specialties–their easy, flattering dresses, and their air-dye techniques–were definitely the focus at their Spring 2013 show. Gorgeous, air-dyed frocks in mottled corals, blues, and greens, with ruching in strategic places–at the waist and lower back–created evening-appropriate looks that yes, looked good on the size 0 models, but would be equally flattering on pretty much any other body type as well.

The Hair & Makeup: Hair was left loose and straight, but slightly mussed. Makeup consisted of a dusting of pink all over–pink lips, pink eyelids and pink cheeks.

The Soundtrack: The MisShapes DJ’ed–’Manhattan’ by Cat Power was a particularly good tune they played.

The Vibe: Standard MILK Studios crowd.

WTF Moment: The amount of anxiety I felt, sitting across from the impossibly beautiful Leigh Lezark, whose perilously low neckline risked exposing her breasts every time she leaned forward.

What the Line Sheet Said: “BEARHUGSXOXOXOXOXOXOXO” (and coming from the designers, the bear hugs are kind of literal!)
