The Clothes: Glamorous, delicate and grand. Walking into the clean, white presentation space felt like walking into some really important art exhibition. The timelessness of Gordon’s designs and the remarkable techniques displayed in just about every piece, must have had something to with that. From the gorgeous swan print on a dress to dizzyingly beautiful Swarovski-embellished embroidery, this Tarot-inspired collection was a sight to behold. Still, everything from the pants-and-jacket looks to the elegant plunging necklined jumpsuits to the lacey evening gowns had a tough girl feel.
The Hair & Makeup: Hair was done in messy fake dreadlocks. Makeup was natural with pink lips.
The Soundtrack: Kate Bush, haunting ballads
The Vibe: Dignified and sophisticated. Everyone was on their best behavior and unable to stop gushing about the clothes. And while they were great to see up close, presentation-style, we think they could have also looked great going down a runway. Maybe next season…
The Front Row: Garance Doré, BryanBoy
Celebrity We’d Most Like to See Wearing this Collection: Kristen Stewart, Tilda Swinton
What the line sheet said: “There was a mystical vision for spring inspired by the traditional tarot. A beautiful hand-drawn swan print, delicate knits and embroideries embellished with Swarovski Elements underscore the collection’s darkly ethereal tone.”
