John Galliano
The disgraced former Dior designer was one of the first and most frequently brought up names supposedly in the running to revive the schiaparelli brand. One obvious reason being that he’s a talented designer with no house to design for and Schiaparelli an important house with no designer. Plus, the brand is known for a sense of whimsy, eccentricity and adornment, which Galliano is certainly capable of. However, the rumors were swiftly denied by both Della Valle and Galliano’s rep, but just because a rumor gets denied doesn’t mean it isn’t true (just look at how those Raf Simons for Dior rumors turned out). Galliano was spotted dining with Anna Wintour in Paris earlier this summer, so that must mean…something!
