YouTube is an absolute treasure trove of makeup and hair tutorials. You can find pretty much any DIY look you need. Kim Kardashian eyelashes? Easy! Hunger Games Katniss braids? Mere child's play. What really separates the boys from the men are the elaborate tutorials--the ones that really highlight unbelievable transformations.

Creepy Vincent Van Gogh:

We don't quite know what to say about this one. It's terrifying and impressive all at the same time. After watching this we promise you will never look at Van Gogh's "Starry Night" quite the same. [Ed. note: And so Rodarte spring 2012!] {GoldieStarling}

Zombie Pin-Up Girl:

Zombies are definitely having a moment now. But why be just a plain zombie when you can be a sexy one? This tutorial claims the look is "a little bit sexy, but also really gruesome." That's the perfect Halloween storm, isn't it? {CarahAmelie}

Miss Argentina from Beetlejuice:

The 1988 film starring Winona Ryder features a cast of odd characters, many of whom reside in the afterlife. One of the most glamorous is Miss Argentina, who committed suicide and is therefore condemned to an afterlife as a civil servant. Blue skin never looked so hot. {PixiWoo}

Gothic Lolita Doll:

"Dark, cute, but with a hint of creepiness." More than a hint, we'd say. Those eyes! *shiver* This is an oldie but goodie from Michelle Phan. {MichellePhan}

Who knew this was a thing? The "unzipped face" look apparently has a long and hallowed tradition on YouTube. Here's the best offering we found for this year. It's gross and kinda perfect. But mostly gross. {GuPS}

Black Light Makeup:

Raving this year for Halloween? Shock all your friends with this black light makeup cat face. {BuzzFeedShift}

Leopard Face:

Now we're getting into the amazing animal portion of our tutorials. This facial leopard print is gorgeous and you could almost (well, if you were Katy Perry maybe) wear this look in real life. {CarahAmelie}

Owl:

"Hoo" is willing to try this? Any time we get to stick feathers on our face is a win, in our opinion. {Kristianathe}

Choupette's Best Friend:

No Fashionista Halloween makeup tutorial story would be complete without a cat option. (OK, so we did a leopard and a graphic black light cat already. We know.) This one is scarily realistic. {BeautifulYouTV}

Jack-o-Lantern:

Let's end this on a sweet and Halloween-y note. No costume necessary for this one. Paint on your pumpkin face and go. {PunkChyaz}
